Did you know April 25 is ANZAC day in Australia and New Zealand?

ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and is a day commemorating all who have been lost in both conflict and peace keeping situations. This year marks the 100th anniversary of Australia and New Zealand’s entrance into WWI (1914-1918).

Here is another completed WWI era VAD uniform and cape headed to a client in Australia. It will be worn in an ANZAC day celebration!

(Sometimes capturing the perfect picture proves less than easy! This day was super windy! OOPS!)

New REVISED WWI Era VAD uniform

After looking at several extant WWI Era uniforms, we have decided to tweak our existing WWI Era design to reflect an even more authentic replication. Included in our new design are hem tucks, a slimmer skirt and a narrower shouldered apron. This particular gown is made of a nice summer weight cotton chambray.

Here are some images of the tweaked design headed to a museum in England.
