Our tunic suit is the quintessential attire for young boys beginning around the 1840s. A transitional style, this suit was designed to bridge the gap between gowns and full vested suits. It was worn in modified form throughout the rest of the 19th century and into the early 20th century.

Our tunic suit features separate breeches and over tunic. The breeches close at the waistband with two side buttons and are hemmed to mid calf. The over tunic buttons down the center front and includes an attached belt. This suit is meant to fit loosely and is made for movement. Pair with cotton knee stockings and high boots to finish off the look.
