The Copenhagen Collection: I

Amidst the world wide Covid 19 crisis, the shining light in the storm has been a commission from the DET NY TEATER in Copenhagen, Denmark for their upcoming stage production of Oliver!

We have been stitching furiously for the past few weeks creating the first set of costumes: Here are the lady’s garments:

This is our Anne dress in an 1830s era reproduction cotton print found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (see below). All the gowns we made are cut extra long at the hem as they will be finished at final fittings in Denmark.

This gown is finished off with a hidden zipper at the center back. Historical closures such as multiple hook and eyes make quick costume changes challenging.
