The Sarah dress is a girl’s style popular throughout the late Georgian-Regency Era. Inspired by girl’s dress in period portraiture, this style gown was worn across diverse regional and socio-economic classes.

Featuring a wide, ruffled neckline, the Sarah dress features semi- fitted, elbow length sleeves and a delicately gathered front bodice. The full skirt employs tucks at the hemline to accommodate growing girls. It is attached to the bodice via a narrow waistband through which a cotton drawstring is run. The dress closes at the center back.
