The Camille Dress (design your own)

The Camille Dress is inspired by Jean-Baptiste Isabey’s Portrait of a Young Lady in a White Dress (c. 1855). This classic gown first made its appearance in the 1790s and continued to be stylish throughout the late 1830s.

The gown’s rounded neckline is secured by a cotton cord making it somewhat adjustable. The short, puffed sleeves vary in width depending on time period (extra full in the 1830s). The fitted waistband sits just above the natural waistline and is attached to the full, gathered skirt. Shown over a shift (not included but recommended.)

Pricing DOES NOT INCLUDE FABRIC. Please ship 6 YARDS of 44/45″ wide natural fiber fabric to our studio to complete your order.  You may choose your own fabric or purchase yardage from our FABRIC COLLECTION.
